Drawing one point perspective

Drawing perspective using one vanishing point.

I start by drawing a horizontal line, this line represent the height of my eyes, so that everything appearing over this line is “higher” up than me, and everything appearing below this line is “shorter” than me. This might be handy to keep in mind when you want something to appear very small or big. However, in this video I simplify it a bit by letting the horizontal line be the horizon.

This video is a time laps of me drawing a simple perspective drawing of a house and some surroundings.  After drawing the horizon line, I pick a spot on that line. That spot is the vanishing point.
